1940 Chevy Pickup Sucker Punch

A Blacked-Out Beast from East Stroudsburg

Owner: Bill Treible Jr.
Location: East Stroudsburg, PA
Vehicle: 1941 Chevy Pickup
Name: Sucker Punch
Use: Show Truck
Build Style: Custom One-Off / Street Bruiser

A Throwback with a Right Hook

The streets of East Stroudsburg might not be ready for Sucker Punch — a 1941 Chevy pickup turned full-blown street spectacle by Bill Treible Jr. This radical build doesn’t whisper for attention; it demands it. Slammed, shaved, and surgically customized, this truck brings a brutal blend of old-school lines and modern horsepower, wrapped in deep black gloss and turbocharged fury.

The Power Behind the Punch

It doesn’t need a hood to hide behind — it was built to be seen, heard, and feared.

Slammed Stance, Built to Hit Hard

The truck’s posture is as bold as its name. With rear air ride suspension and 4” skinny smoothie wheels up front contrasted by massive 15” wide smoothies in the back, the silhouette is aggressive and unmistakable. An 8.8 Mustang rear with 3.73 gears puts the power to pavement, and disc brakes all around ensure it stops just as impressively.

Details That Knock You Out

  • Paint: Deep Gloss Black — as sinister as it gets
  • Body Mods: Suicide doors, shaved handles, and an extreme 7” chop top
  • Interior: Fully custom with hand-built seats and Auto Meter gauges
  • Lighting: Vintage Model A headlights up front for just the right retro touch
  • Audio: Just one track — the mechanical symphony of forced induction

“The truck speaks for itself. It’s a BAD RIDE.” – Bill Treible Jr.

The Build Story: Real Grit, Real People

Every line, weld, and bolt on Sucker Punch tells a story — not just of the truck, but of the people behind it. Bill didn’t build it alone. Friends stepped in, late nights piled up, and parts were chased like ghosts.

The goal was never perfection — it was presence. Something loud. Something bold. Something that punched back.

And when it finally roared to life, tires spinning and turbo screaming, that first drive hit harder than any trophy ever could. That was the moment Sucker Punch stopped being a project… and became a memory burned into the pavement.

More Than Metal: A Rolling Passion

To Bill, car culture means everything. From meeting fellow gearheads to sharing stories of inspiration — especially from his uncle, who first lit the spark — it’s more than a hobby. It’s a lifestyle. One that’s full-throttle, wide-tired, and turbocharged.

Advice to Others: It’s an Addiction

“It’s an addiction,” Bill says — and he means it.
It starts with one project. Then it’s late nights, busted knuckles, chasing parts that don’t exist, and spending way too much time thinking about the next mod before the current one’s even done. You’ll lose track of weekends and gain a garage full of tools, scars, and stories.
But ask anyone who’s deep in it — and they wouldn’t trade it for anything. Because once the key turns and that engine fires… you’re hooked for life.

Always Evolving, Never Finished

“Whatever I can think to do next,” says Bill when asked about future plans. There’s no hard stopping point — just new ideas, new tweaks, and maybe, with an unlimited budget, a fleet of insane hot rods, rat rods, and slammed trucks.
